SF TOURISM

Inspired by the brand identity of an origami bird which represents travel, this commercial space is designed using the concept of folding planes.

The main reception desk, which folds along the space in an L-shape, appears to be a large piece of origami as its various surface fold and bulge to create a sense of visual tension in the entrance.

The bespoke monumental Word map has been specially crafted for the shop. It plays with texture and depth of words to create a unique visual element in the space.

The concept of a folding plane continues in the detailing of the floor, wall and ceiling. The concept of folding planes continues in the design of the ceiling, which is folded in two directions, disguising a beam behind the folds of its surface.
