The facade of this residence can be read as a play of solid and void, with light wooden louvers contrasting with the heavier cement cladding.
The cement panels and windows alternate on the facade to create a rhythm that responds to the density of the wooden louvers which cover the rest of the building. The windows alternate in their width and height, enhancing the rhythm of solid and void across the facade and creating an illusion of a lighter structure.
The interlocking volumes in the building create a complex series of spaces, with a full height glazed entrance space creating a light well that separates the two volumes containing the residences.
